Bundle Deal, Steering Track / Tie Rod, Overhaul kit, Bus / Camper 68-79 (Meyle)
Does your bus steering have a tendency to be a bit sloppy?
Part of the problem could well be play in the steering box, but there can also be a lot of play due to worn track rod ends on both the main steering track rods, as well as the drag link.
Instead of replacing each rod end individually, it is much easier to just replace the rods, complete with new ends. They come pre-assembled, saving you plenty of time.
To make the job of adjusting the tracking easier, we have included two 'adjustable' versions of the tie rods. These are interchangeable with the original 'non adjustable' type.
Why? You might ask. Well, if you only have one adjustable rod, each time the tracking is adjusted, all the adjustment is only performed on one side of the vehicle.
The downside of this, is that you will then need to remove the steering wheel and refit it, in the straight-ahead position .... but removing a steering wheel on a bus is not an easy job!
If you have two adjustable rods, the tracking adjustment can be made on both sides of the vehicle ... and hence you won't need to remove the steering wheel. All in all, this makes the job easier for you.
This bundle offer contains two adjustable track / tie rods, as well as a new drag link ... perfect for if your MOT man isn't happy with that sloppy steering.
