Hard Start Relay Kit (Empi)
Are you constantly having problems starting your pride and joy? Does the ignition occasionally "click" when the ignition key is turned?
If so this "Hard Start" Relay Kit could be the answer to your problems.
The wiring in older vehicles can be the root of many misdiagnosed starter motor faults. In order to engage the starter motor a current needs to be sent from the battery to the ignition and then back to the battery. Due to the distance it has to travel along cables, which are often old, the voltage/current at the starter motor may not be enough to turn the engine over.
This Hard Start Relay Kit resolves this issue by taking a new heavy-duty wire directly from the battery to the solenoid. The long wire from the battery to the ignition and back is re-routed to the Hard Start relay, so when the key is turned it only switches on the relay rather than trying to start the engine.
