Engine Bay Seal, Bug / Beetle / Karmann Ghia -66, Bus / Camper -71
Like all engine bay seals this one plays an important part in the cooling of the engine. Often missing or torn, it is still an important seal on your engine. The engine bay seals are designed to separate the two air zones on your engine, the hot air zone below the engine, and the cold air zone inside the engine bay. If you are taking the engine out of your vehicle for any maintenance work, that would be an ideal time to replace this seal.
This seal replaces the rear-most 3/4 of the engine bay seal on a Bug / Ghia from 1950-66, and on a Split or Early Bay Bus from 1950-71
If you've got the engine out and are intending to replace the entire engine bay seal, you will also need the Firewall seal above the gearbox bellhousing, item 540.610.10
