V-dub Starter Motors only have a bearing at the back end hence the 'business' end is floating (ever tried to run a Starter Motor from a Battery on your workshop floor to test it? It won't work as the armature needs to be held centrally). If your starter bush is worn, the same problem is occuring .. and hence the Starter gets stuck.
  • A worn Starter Bush can be a major cause of premature Starter Motor failure
  • Always replace the Starter Bush when replacing your Starter Motor
  • Item 706.700.50 allows a 12V starter to be fitted to a 6V vehicle (assuming you have a 12V flywheel as well!)
